2008 Super Stars - Summer 3!
|

Brittany has had a great summer in the pool. She has been working on blowing bubbles, getting her face wet and floating on her back. She loves to show off her swimming skills to anyone who will watch. Her biggest accompolishment though is that she finally learned how to swim by her self. She just decided one day I'm going to do and let go of my hand and off she went. Way to go Brittany!

Reagan has had private lessons with me all summer long at her neighborhood pool. At first, she could be easily distracted when her friends would come to the pool to play. As the summer progressed, Reagan has become more determined and more focused. Now, when her friends come over to say "hello" she politley asks them to wait until her swim lesson is over. Reagan can now swim the length of the pool no problem and she gets to show off her new swimming skills to all of her friends!

Jaden has progressed so much throughout the summer. He started with me in summer 1 as a beginner and by the end of the summer he can swim by himself and swim under the water like he has been taking lesson for years.

Kaylin started out the summer by clinging to mom and dad, but now she is much more independent and becoming braver and braver. At first she didn't want to go under but now she is says, "watch me I can do this." Kaylin also does the turtle shell by herself and is close to floating on her back without assistance. The most impressive part is that she is not even 3!

Alyssa is the most impressive 6 year old I have seen swim this session! She was very shy our first lesson, but with some one-on-one time, she opened up completely. She knows how to do a front flip and even did one flip turn! She learned how to dive in just a matter of about 10 minutes during one of our lessons having never done it before. She is a very talented and sweet girl - she will become a great swimmer!!

Rachel started out swimming with me late in the summer and was very nervous to put her face in the water. She has since overcome that fear and blows bubbles, puts her face in and even lets go of me to swim all by herself. Rachel has done an extraordinary job learning to swim and having fun at the same time. Great job Rachel!

Elizabeth started swim lessons very dependent on her mother, but by the end of it she was swimming with a turtle shell all by herself. She even learned to push off the wall, glide underwater while blowing bubbles, and swim 5 feet to her mother. Her confidence and independence in the water greatly improved throughout the session.

I have had the pleasure of teaching Heather for the entire summer. When she started, she did not really know how to swim, but had a natural swimming ability. With a little guidance, she has blossomed into a terrific swimmer.
